The Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association will fly over Burlington and Toronto on November 11th.
OXFORD COUNTY - Remembrance Day is approaching fast in Oxford County and across Canada.
The Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association, based out of the Tillsonburg Regional Airport, is heavily involved in Remembrance Day ceremonies. Public Relations Manager, Diana Spremo, speaks to the honour they have being able to take part in.
"We've been invited by the City of Toronto for more than 20 years now to fly over a number of locations in the city, to pay tribute to those who served and sacrificed, especially the young airmen who actually trained and flew in these very aircraft."
Spremo mentions this weekend they will be flying over Sheddon, and have already done a flyover of Oshweken. This year on Remembrance Day, they will be flying over Burlington and Toronto. She explains what you can expect to see while at each ceremony.
"We're going to, in a way, do our ceremony in the sky. In addition to flying over, we also do something called the missing man formation."
The Missing Man Formation is when one aircraft pulls away from the formation as a tribute to those who have been lost in battle.
