She was known for her roles in Heroes, Nashville and two Scream movies.
SOUTH CAROLINA - TV and movie actress Hayden Panettiere has died at the age of 36.
Her father made the announcement yesterday, calling her an "incredible light and a force of nature." There is no word on a cause of death at this time.
Panettiere's acting career started in 1996, when she starred in commercials and soap operas. She voiced the character Dot in the Disney animated film A Bugs Life a couple of years later in 1998.
Her film credits also include Remember the Titans, I Love You Beth Cooper, Ice Princess, Bring It On: All of Nothing, and two Scream movies.
In the world of television, Panettiere was known for playing cheerleader Claire Bennett in Heroes from 2006 to 2010 and country singer Juilette Barnes in Nashville from 2012 to 2018.
Panettiere published a memoir earlier this year titled This Is Me: A Reckoning, where she detailed her experiences with addiction and depression.
