OXFORD COUNTY - We finally know when the federal byelection will be taking place in Oxford County.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has called the byelection for Monday June 19th. This comes after our previous Member of Parliament, Dave MacKenzie, retired earlier this year after serving as our Conservative MP for almost 20 years.
As of right now, we are aware of two selected candidates in Oxford. Arpan Khanna will be running for the Conservative Party and Cody Groat will represent the Oxford NDP on the ballot. The Liberal Party will be hosting its nomination meeting tonight.
