CANADA - Plastic bags and Styrofoam containers will soon be a thing of the past in Canada.
Ottawa has announced a plan to ban companies from making or importing plastic bags and Styrofoam containers by the end of 2022. Companies won't be able to sell the bags and containers by the end of 2023, and their export will be banned by the end 2025.
The Trudeau Government is hoping to eliminate all plastic waste from ending up in landfills or as litter by 2030. You can read more about the ban online here.
