Highway 59 will be closed to through traffic in Burgessville starting next week.
BURGESSVILLE - Construction crews are about to close a stretch of Highway 59 in Norwich Township.
A road reconstruction project will get underway in Burgessville next week, so the highway will be closed to through traffic from the east town limit to the west town limit for several months. The actual road work will be taking place about 150 metres west of Deer Crescent to about 150 metres east of Smiths Lane and it's supposed to be completed by October.
Oxford County will be hosting a public information centre for those who want to know more about the project. It will be held at the Township office tomorrow and engineering staff will be on site to talk about the plans and answer questions. It's a drop in event starting at 4:30 p.m. and ending at 6:30 p.m..
