A 43 year old from the Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation has been charged with First Degree Murder.
MIDDLESEX COUNTY - A 43 year old from the Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation has been charged with First Degree Murder.
The OPP Major Crime Unit was called to a property on the First Nation on Monday night in regards to a homicide on Clara Road. They confirmed that one adult man was located deceased at the property.
As a result of the investigation, Harlo Cornelius was arrested and charged with first degree murder.
The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice-London at a later date to speak to the charge
The investigation remains ongoing under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) and in partnership with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Services.
Members of the community can expect to see an increased presence of OPP and Oneida personnel and vehicles in the area as the investigation continues. Further updates will be provided when they become available.
