South-West Oxford has released a special edition newsletter to help residents better navigate the upcoming election.
SOUTH-WEST-OXFORD - South-West Oxford has started a public education initiative to help voters make informed decisions while voting.
With over 444 municipalities across Ontario, the goal is to provide voters across The Township of South-West Oxford Council with a clear understanding of who will represent them as their council in the next term.
The newsletter includes information about the council, staff roles, school board trustees, time commitments, council remunerations, council services, SWOX Candidate guide, and what township services are provided.
Some interesting facts include council remunerations as the Mayor at $22,500 and for the Ward Councillors at $15,000 each, the Township using paperless records to provide each member of the Council with an iPad, and a variety of hot topics the councils are currently considering. There is also information for those wishing to run as a Candidate.
The election will take place this October 24th, and you can view the full article from the South-West Oxford online here.
