Boston Pizza in Woodstock will host a booster night fundraiser for the Icebergs, a Junior Synchronized Skating Team from the Woodstock Skating Club.
WOODSTOCK - An upcoming booster night at Woodstock Boston Pizza is set to help out a local Junior Synchronized Skating Team.
The Icebergs consist of 15 girls’ ages 8 to 13 and they represent the Woodstock Skating Club in the Elementary Division.
Parent Rep Heather Smith says the money raised will help keep the team going.
"Our ice time is the biggest expense, second is coaching and then all of the girls of course have to have matching everything when they are out on that ice so matching tights, matching dresses. That all had to be created."
The money will also benefit the team as they travel to Chatham this coming spring to compete in the Deveau/Winfield Synchronized Skating Invitational.
Smith tells Heart FM what will be on the menu on Monday December 5th.
"It's such a fun atmosphere! Boston Pizza puts on a great spread of all you can eat cesar salad, penne pasta with sauces and amazing amounts and variety of pizza."
The booster night will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. You can purchase a $20 ticket for the night through any member of the team. You can also contact Heather Smith by calling 519-533-1310.
