Impaired Drivers Busted in Oxford County on Saturday

A 21 year old was charged with impaired driving after he missed a stop sign on King Street in Ingersoll and a 64 year old was busted in Tillsonburg after slamming into a couple of parked cars.

INGERSOLL - A 21 year old man from Ingersoll has been charged with impaired driving. 

Police stopped the driver on King Street on Saturday night just after 9. Police determined the driver had been drinking and he was taken back to the detachment for further testing. 

The 21 year old was charged with impaired driving, failing to stop at a stop sign and having liquor readily available. 

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock at a later date.

TILLSONBURG - A 64 year old man from Tillsonburg has been charged with impaired driving and operating a vehicle with a Blood Alcohol Concentration of 80 plus after an investigation by Oxford County OPP. 

Police say that on October 24th at approximately 5:00 p.m., they received a report of a collision on Lisgar Avenue in Tillsonburg.  

The OPP determined that a vehicle occupied by only the driver, caused damage to several unoccupied vehicles. Minor injuries were reported. The driver was taken into custody and transported to the detachment for testing.  
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock at a later date.
