The Woodstock Soccer Club is looking for soccer players between the ages of 8 and 18 to try out for their competitive indoor soccer league.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Soccer Club is getting ready for tryouts for the competitive indoor soccer league. Tryouts will start in the middle of September and will go right through October.
Director of competitive soccer Metaxas Makedos says they have competitive clubs for kids between the ages of 8 and 18.
"The competitive soccer teams in the Woodstock Soccer Club are called the Stallions for the boys and the Strikers for the girls. This year we have 16 different teams competing."
Makedos adds they expect to have some quality teams this year.
"The competitive program in Woodstock has really excelled over the last couple of years. We've grown in numbers, we have grown in strength and we've definitely grown in the ability to compete against very elite teams."
House league registration has already wrapped up; however they do have some spots available in some of the age groups. If you already signed up for house league, you can tryout for the competitive teams as well.
