Matt Daltrey would like to bring his grassroots knowledge of his hometown to Ingersoll Town Council.
INGERSOLL - Another candidate has joined the race for Ingersoll Town Council.
Matt Daltrey was raised in the town and has also raised his family there. He worked as paramedic in his hometown, while also serving as a volunteer firefighter and an auxiliary police officer.
Daltrey explains why he has decided to run for council.
"Public service, really. Again, my background has always been community service and public service. Now that I'm out of emergency services, this is another way to get back to my community."
He adds a big issue he would like to address is affordable housing. During his interview with Heart FM, Daltrey also talked about what sets him apart from the other candidates.
"I have grassroots knowledge of what's going on in the community or what has gone on in the community."
Daltrey says he has a strong network in order to find the right fit for issues that need to be taken care of.
Voters will cast their ballots on Monday, October 26, 2026.
