Ingersoll's very own Ella Shelton will be a part of Team Canada during this year's IIHF Women's World Championship.
INGERSOLL - Hockey Canada has announced the 25 players who will represent Canada at the upcoming 2021 IIHF Women’s World Championship.
Ingersoll's Ella Shelton has been named to the team. Shelton will play defense for the team at the games in Calgary. She played NCAA hockey for the Clarkson Golden Knights, serving as the captain for her senior year.
Shelton led the Golden Knights in blocked shots with 81 during her junior year. She was also named a finalist for the ECAC's Best Defenseman Award during her senior year.
The tournament is happening at the WinSport Arena at Canada Olympic Park starting August 20th and will run until August 31st.
