It is steps in the right direction at Ingersoll is in the middle of developing a new Multi-Use Rec Centre.
INGERSOLL - Significant progress is being made in Ingersoll on the Multi-Use Recreation Centre.
This project came up as the highest priority during the Town's strategic review, and is moving forward with key partnerships and a campus model approach. Project leadership has been secured with Colliers Project Leaders managing the development, Dillon Consulting providing planning and engineering expertise, and Ball Construction selected as the Progressive Design Build Team.
The campus design will feature a proposed new school and daycare facility in partnership with Thames Valley District School Board, a long-term care home in collaboration with peopleCare, and shared services infrastructure to maximize operational efficiency and community support. The MURC itself will have a walking track, gym, single ice pad with the ability to double, multipurpose hall, and community rooms.
The facility is expected to open in Spring 2027 to meet strict funding timelines. You can get more information on the project by visiting the Town's website.
