Heart FM continues our profile of the local candidates in the upcoming election with a look at the PPC candidate Wendy Martin.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Peoples Party of Canada candidate for Oxford County is once again Wendy Martin.
Martin ran in the last election in 2019, coming in fourth place. She is all about freedom of speech and vehemently opposed to mandatory vaccinations and vaccine passports.
"We are fighting for your rights and your freedoms, whether you want something different then the next person does, your rights and freedoms count, your voice counts."
Martin says she is also worried about the deficit.
"We have an economy that we need to protect, that we need to build back up, we have to take a look at our veterans that are still suffering. We have to be able to change what is going on in our veterans platform and make sure our platform goes forward and get the help that veterans need."
Other candidates who have announced their intention to run include Matthew Chambers for the NDP, Incumbent Conservative Dave MacKenzie and Liberal candidate Elizabeth Quinto.
