In an exclusive interview with Heart FM, Premier Doug Ford teased a good news announcement for parents coming up this morning.
OXFORD COUNTY - Premier Doug Ford says parents could be in for some good news this morning when it comes to reopening schools.
During an exclusive interview with Heart FM, Ford teased that Education Minister Stephen Lecce will be making an announcement this morning.
"I'm a strong believer in in-class learning and hopefully we'll have a good announcement for a majority of the people at 11:00 a.m. or 11:30 a.m."
Ford was also very happy to hear that every long-term care resident in Oxford County has received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, adding Southwestern Public Health is actually beating the time frame for vaccinations.
But he says the province also needs more vaccines and his Government doing everything it can to secure more doses.
"We're working well with the federal government working very collaboratively with them and I know they're doing everything they can so it's all hands on deck with these vaccines right now."
Premier Ford also discussed the new UK variant, the current border closure and his pick for the upcoming Super Bowl. You can listen to the full interview below.
