It was another bi-weekly interview with Warden Marcus Ryan on the Heart FM Morning Show. He talked about three topics.
OXFORD COUNTY - All-way stops are coming to Oxford County.
Warden Marcus Ryan talked about the new stop signs during his bi-weekly interview on the Heart FM Morning Show. He says one reason for the stop signs is to be proactive in ensuring the roads and intersections are safe. Ryan mentions how many will be coming.
"So, we've implemented 3 as of yesterday at council. The signs aren't up today. It's going to take a while to get the signs, and then we're going to put signs up to warn people in advance, like this is coming."
The locations of the signs are: Oxford Road 8 and Oxford Road 60 in the Township of East Zorra-Tavistock; and Oxford Road 6, Oxford Road 17, Oxford Road 119, and Road 74 in the Township of Zorra. Warden Ryan also talked about the Green Bin Program and how the first three months have gone in South-West Oxford and Woodstock. This was what he had to say.
"I think it's working out sort of exactly the way we hoped and planned that it would, and I think residents are starting to get more used to it and finding that out for themselves."
He added that the Green Bin Program will come to every area of Oxford County in May of 2027. If you would like to hear more of what Warden Ryan talked about on the Heart FM Morning Show, you can listen to the full interview below.
