"These conditions can be especially dangerous for motorcyclists who may unexpectedly get hit with a spray of water leading to a potentially serious or fatal collision."
The OPP are reminding farmers to be careful with their field irrigation systems to make sure they are not spraying water on the roadways.
Police were called to Burford-Delhi Townline road last night after a vehicle was sprayed by the water. Nobody was injured in this case. However the water can easily knock off someone riding a bike and it can also create a slippery road surface and limit visibility for drivers.
Constable Ed Sanchuk says these conditions can be especially dangerous for motorcyclists who may unexpectedly get hit with a spray of water leading to a potentially serious or fatal collision.
"The OPP encourages anyone that observes a safety issue on a roadway to report is as quickly as possible to their nearest police authority."
