Jr. D hockey teams are movin' on up. The OHA has announced a sort of merger between Jr. C and D leagues in Southwestern Ontario. Details are still preliminary, and the league says playoffs for the Schmalz Cup may not happen in the first year, depending on scheduling the new season over the next few months. Full realignment is expected in 2013-14. The move would establish more Oxford County rivalries, as the Tavistock Braves and Thamesford Trojans would be facing off against the Woodstock Navy Vets and Norwich Merchants. You can check out the OHA's announcement here.
