Just 3 New Cases of COVID-19 in SWPH Region Today

The good news is that the Health Unit also recorded 17 recoveries, the bad news is that 5 people are currently in the hospital with COVID-19, including 4 in the ICU.

OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health is reporting 3 new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend and 17 resolved cases. 

This means the active case count has dropped significantly to 68 and you can find the complete case breakdown below:

Woodstock - 19

Norwich Township - 6 

Blandford-Blenheim - 5 

Tillsonburg - 5

Ingersoll - 5

South-West Oxford - 2

Zorra Township - 1 

East Zorra-Tavistock - 1 

St. Thomas - 8

Alymer - 6

Bayham - 4

West Elgin- 2

Central Elgin - 2

Dutton-Dunswich - 1 

Malahide - 1

Five people are currently being treated in hospital at this time and Four of them are in the ICU.

Public Health says over 85% percent eligible residents have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and nearly 79% percent are fully vaccinated.
