Health Canada has announced the recall of a single batch of a children's fever medication called Infants' Little Remedies for Fevers. The product is made by Prestige Brands. The department says the company is voluntarily recalling lot number 3742 because testing showed some bottles may contain less of the active ingredient than they should. The medication is acetaminophen. Health Canada says bottles that contain less than the normal amount of the drug may not reduce fevers, relieve the symptoms of colds and flu or provide relief for headaches or teething pain. Infants' Little Remedies for Fevers was being sold across Canada in stores like Walmart, Shoppers Drug Mart and in other retail locations.
