The final meeting surrounding the Woodlands Conservation bylaw is tonight.
SPRINGFORD - The public still has one more chance to give their input on the new Woodlands Conservation Bylaw.
Director of Planning at the County of Oxford Gordon Hough says public input is key to a successful update.
"What this by-law does is it actually protects Woodland areas in Oxford County and what it generally does is protect any woodlands in excess of one hectare."
Hough says they really wanted to hear from the public before making any decisions.
"The public meetings are really intended to gather information, hear from people about their experiences with woodlands conservation, with the bylaw itself as the case may be, and really just obtaining feedback so we can then go back to council."
The County previously held pubic meetings in Innerkip and Embro. They will have one more public meeting Thursday, December 1 starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Springford Community Hall.
