The London District Catholic School Board has told parents to consider alternate childcare arrangements for next week
OXFORD COUNTY - The London District Catholic School Board has issued the following statement regading a possible strike next week.
"To our LDCSB families: The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) representing education workers across the province has given notice that they will be engaging in full strike action beginning Monday, October 7.
The LDCSB is currently examining the impact a full strike will have on school operations. Please monitor the LDCSB website, social media channels and SchoolMessenger for any updates. We appreciate your patience and understanding at this time. Parents and guardians may wish to consider alternate childcare arrangements for next week. CUPE represents LDCSB support staff, including educational assistants (EAs), early childhood educators (ECEs), school office staff, custodial and maintenance staff, librarians as well as others."
This means they are also considering closing down schools next week. Stay tuned for further updates. The TVDSB is also considering closing down schools next week.
