Stephen Dustin gets life with no parole for 15 years in the murder of Pearl Brown

WOODSTOCK - A "perfect storm" was the term used in the courtroom to describe the state Stephen Dustin was in the night he ended Pearl Brown's life.

Life in prison without the eligibility of parole for 15 years was the verdict given to an emotionless Dustin who sat through the sentence Friday morning.

Dustin Pleaded guilty in November to the second degree muder of the Woodstock senior in August of 2013.

In her sentence the judge told Dustin what he did was "cowardly".

Brown's family wiped away tears as the accused stood and apologized stating he was deeply sorry and he hoped to one day be forgiven.

Dustin was allegedly under the influence of 30 alcoholic beverages the night the murder took place and he will be seeking help in prison.
