Charlotte Burrage grew up in Sweaburg, but is now living in Toronto preparing to be part of the Canadian Opera Company Ensemble Studio. Burrage was one of six Canadian artists chosen to join the company after she placed 3rd in the Canadian Opera Competition. "The competition was amazing and the other singers were fantastic, so I was very honored to be selected," said Burrage. Students are mentored by professionals, receiving experience through a multi-year program. Burrage says her training and education have paid off. "I was in university for eight years and it finally feels like it's coming into something, which is very exciting," said Burrage. She holds a Masters of Music in voice performance from the University of Toronto and is a graduate of the Opera Diploma Program at University of British Columbia.
