Jim Shipp Plumbing, Heating, and Air would like to provide some warmth to families in need this holiday season.
WOODSTOCK - Jim Shipp Plumbing, Heating, and Air is looking to help families in need this holiday season.
Randy Norton says they're going to gift a high-efficiency gas furnace with installation to someone who needs it.
"There are people at this time of year that definitely need to come out of the cold and we need to help them. That's what we're here to do."
All of the nominations have to be submitted by December 15th, and they can be e-mailed to kathy@jimshippplumbing.com. Once all of the submissions are in the Jim Shipp staff members will select the winner with help from community members.
Norton says they're also accepting donations of gently used winter coats right now.
"We have a coat drive on. We call it our Out Of The Cold program where if someone has a good and decent used coat that could be used, we will give them $10 off a service call or purchase."
Those who donate will also be entered for a chance to win a $30 Fritzies gift card. All of the donated coats will be dry-cleaned and sent to Operation Sharing.
Jim Shipp Plumbing is doing all of this to give back to the community, as it celebrates its 50th anniversary.
Randy Norton stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Dan and Marcie on Wednesday November 22nd. You can listen to the full interview below:
