Arpan Khanna is accepting nominations for a new initiative called 20 Citizens Who Make Oxford Better.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford County MP Arpan Khanna wants to recognize residents of his riding.
Nominations are open for the 20 Citizens Who Make Oxford Better initiative. The program will shed light on 20 outstanding residents whose actions and contributions have made a meaningful, positive difference in Oxford County. Khanna talks about why he has started this initiative.
"Our communities are only as strong as the people who step up to make a difference. Across Oxford, there are incredible people who give their time, support their neighbours, volunteer with local organizations, mentor young people, and lend a helping hand when someone needs it most. Many of these individuals do their work quietly, without ever expecting recognition. This initiative is an opportunity to celebrate their contributions and thank them for everything they do."
To be eligible for consideration, nominees must:
- Be a current resident of the federal riding of Oxford.
- Be nominated by another individual or organization.
- Have demonstrated a positive contribution to the Oxford community.
- Reflect the spirit of the initiative through actions and conduct that positively impact others and the community.
- Be 14 years of age or older.
