The production team for the Netflix show Locke & Key would like to film scenes outside Museum Square in Woodstock sometime in May or early June.
WOODSTOCK - It looks like you might be able to spot some film crews in downtown Woodstock sometime over the next couple of months.
The production team for the Netflix show Locke & Key scouted the Museum Square area last week.
It looks like it went well because they're going to present a delegation to Woodstock City Council this Thursday night requesting to film some scenes in the area.
In his official delegation request, Geoffrey Smither with Matheson 3 Productions Inc says they would film one daytime scene in Museum Square and two other scenes once it gets darker outside. The scenes will span two episodes of the show's third season.
He says filming would likely take place on a Thursday or Friday. The shooting dates have not been set in stone yet, but it would be sometime in May or within the first week of June. Smither is requesting a road closure or intermittent traffic stoppages for the stretch of Dundas Street between Graham Street and Wellington Street during the filming.
He also notes that another Location Manager for the show is going to present another delegation to Woodstock City Council at a later date, requesting to film in Woodstock sometime in late June as well.
