This is the first time in history that the Long Point Provincial Park has closed all four of its campgrounds due to flooding.
LONG POINT - Long Point Provincial Park has closed all of their campgrounds because of localized flooding.
All of the campground areas are now closed to the public, including Cottonwood Campground, which was previously open, is now closed until July 29th.
The park remains open for Day-use.
The Ontario Parks Reservation Service will contact all affected reservation holders to offer a change in reservation, where available, or cancellation with no penalty.
Park staff are monitoring conditions and forecasts daily and public safety remains our priority.
