We might be in for another gas hike in the next couple of days.
OXFORD COUNTY - If you think the gas prices are high, you're not going to like the forecast for the next couple of days.
Senior Petroleum Analyst Dan McTeague says a lot of the stations are offering fairly low prices right now; considering the wholesale rate is about $1.22.
"That's fine when you have normal volumes of gasoline; but when you double or triple the number of people showing up at your gas station because they're taking to the roads for the long weekend, that means you could be at a significant loss."
McTeague says we can expect a price hike later this week.
"Where you see gasoline at $1.25.9 or less, it's likely to increase in the $1.33 range for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Now is the time to fill up between now and Wednesday."
Gas Buddy offers up to date gas price information on their website.
