A Stratford man had to be airlifted to the hospital after a crash involving a motorcycle and pickup this morning.
STRATFORD - A Stratford man suffered life altering injuries after a two vehicle crash on Perth Line 33 this morning.
OPP were called to the crash at Road 111 after getting for a crash between a motorcycle and pickup truck. The 31 year old driver of the bike had to be take to a London Hospital with major life altering injuries by the air ambulance. The 70 year old driver of the truck was not injured.
Police say the motorcycle was stopped in the eastbound lane of Perth Line 33 at 7:20 this morning waiting to turn left when the pickup truck travelling eastbound collided with the bike. As a result of the impact the motorcyclist and the heavily damaged Yamaha motorcycle ended up on the ground in the north east corner of the intersection. Police have charged the driver of the pickup truck with careless driving.
The intersection of Perth Line 33 and Road 111 was closed for several hours to allow for an investigation today. It has since been re-opened.
