A 26-year-old man is facing charges after someone stole a duty bag from an unlocked Stratford Police cruiser.
STRATFORD - Stratford Police have made an arrest after several items were taken from an unlocked police cruiser.
The officers duty bag, which contained Stratford Police legal forms and some personal items, was taken on Saturday just after midnight. The cruiser was parked at the station.
Police went through surveillance footage of the theft and were able to track down a suspect. A 26 year old from the Festival City was arrested on Tuesday morning. He was charged with theft under $5,000 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
Police were able to locate the items stolen from the police cruiser, as well as items that had been stolen from another vehicle later that weekend.
