A homeowner contacted police reporting a projectile from a firearm striking their home while they were sitting outside.
NORFOLK - A Norfolk man was arrested and charged in Windham after a weapons complaint.
On Monday around 7 p.m., the Norfolk OPP were called to a Windham Road address after a homeowner contacted police reporting a projectile from a firearm striking their home while they were sitting outside.
After officers attended the home, they located nearby hunters and subsequently took an individual into custody without incident.
No injures were reported however the police investigation resulted in a 44-year-old man charged with operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding 80.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date, and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry will be continuing to investigate the weapons complaint.
