OTTAWA - Canada will have a new Prime Minister in just a few hours.
Newly installed Liberal Leader Mark Carney will be sworn in at Rideau Hall this morning, after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau formally resigns.
The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time, with Governor General Mary Simon presiding.
Carney will also reveal is new cabinet today and its expected to include Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly, Industry Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne, Finance Minister Dominic LeBlanc and Public Safety Minister David McGuinty.
While speaking with the press in Washington yesterday, it appeared that Champagne accidentally confirmed that some of the ministers playing key roles in the trade war against the United States would be part Carney's first cabinet.
