It is business as usual at the First Choice Haircutters in Woodstock after a scary crash on Saturday afternoon.
WOODSTOCK - Nobody was seriously injured following a scary crash at the First Choice Haircutters in Woodstock. An 83 year old woman crashed into the building on Springbank and Dundas Street on Saturday afternoon. Co-owner and district manager Carol Cave says it was an absolute miracle nobody was injured. The vehicle slammed into the glass wall and right into the waiting area. Cave says on a normal Saturday that waiting area would be full of customers, however because it was the Saturday of a long weekend things tend to slow down after 1 p.m and the crash happened at 2 p.m and no one was in the waiting area. She adds the employees were a little shaken up when the incident happened but everyone kept a level head and everyone did an amazing job under the circumstances. The driver did sustain some minor injuries and will not be charged for the mishap. Cave says a restoration team came in right away and installed new glass and they spent the rest of the long weekend cleaning up. She says the store is open today and you would never know the crash even happened. Total damage was about $50,000.
