A new Moderna production facility is coming to Canada.
Moderna CEO Stephane Bancel is in Montreal today to sign a memorandum of understanding with Innovation Minister Francois-Phillippe Champagne.
There is no word yet on where the plant will be located, but Bancel notes the details will be released "in the coming months."
Champagne notes that having such a facility in Canada will help the country become a bigger player in the health crisis.
Meanwhile, the federal government has committed $2.2 billion over the next seven years towards biotechnology research and commercial production.
