"Even $10 per month works out to $120 per year!" - Fund Development Coordinator Nicole Killaire.
OXFORD COUNTY - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County (BBBS Oxford) has launched a new campaign called Make It Monthly in March.
Its encouraging people to make monthly donations to their organization and Fund Development Coordinator Nicole Killaire says it's easy to set up online.
"When you head to our website bbbsoxford.ca there is a donate button right in the corner and when you go to that form you can click a one time donation or a monthly donation. Even $10 per month works out to $120 per year!"
Big Brothers Big Sisters offers youth mentorship programs in our community, using professional case workers to set up the mentor/mentee matches. It receives no ongoing funding, so it relies on donations from the public to keep operating.
Big Brothers Big Sisters also relies on the money it raises through annual fundraisers. With that being said, the 19th annual Trivia Night will be taking place on Friday March 21st at Goff Gym.
If you're interested in signing up, Killaire says you should register your team ASAP.
"We are almost sold out already! We only have four out of 30 teams remaining so make sure you sign up if you haven't already. As I mentioned it is a sellout event, so another great way to support is through sponsorship and we still have opportunities for table sponsorship at the event."
The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the event will begin at 7:00 p.m.. There will be snacks provided along with a late lunch and a cash bar will be on site as well. The winning teams will receive prizes and Killaire says the last place team will also receive special recognition.
You can find the registration form online here.
Nicole Killaire stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Dan and Marcie on Tuesday March 4th. You can listen to the full interview below:
