I Am Enough is coming to the Friendly City, and is raising awareness regarding the addiction and mental health crisis in the Oxford County. Shelly Garner is the star and the production is her life story.
WOODSTOCK - A fundraiser is making its way to Woodstock.
I Am Enough is a musical staring Sherry Garner, who is living with Bipolar Disorder.
She says CMHA Thames Valley Addiction & Mental Health Services will benefit from the production.
"Specifically, the addiction and mental health crisis services in Oxford County. My vision is to raise funds, and raise awareness within Oxford County, because as you know we have been ravaged by the mental health crisis."
She goes on to explain the reasoning behind this production.
"I decided to tell my story through song, and to really share my story of triumph with others who may be struggling, because it was the stories of others who survived and learned to thrive that really helped me through my path, and I really wanted to be that story."
The musical will take place tomorrow (Thursday, October 19th) night at Movement Church, the start time is scheduled for 7:30.
You are able to get tickets online at eventbrite.ca.
Garner stopped by the Heart FM Studio on Wednesday, October 18th, and if you want to hear the full interview it is posted below:
