The City announces new appointments to the Woodstock Hydro Holdings and Woodstock Hydro Services boards
WOODSTOCK - New Directors have been appointed to Woodstock Hydro Holdings and it's subsidiary Woodstock Hydro Services.
The changes came at their annual shareholder meeting Monday.
Mayor Pat Sobeski, Councillor Bill Bes and Councillor Paul Plant will serve as Directors of the Hydro Holdings Board while City CAO David Creery and Director of Administrative Services Patrice Hilderly will serve as directors of Woodstock Hydro Services with a third Board member appointed in the near future. Each member is said to be performing the responsibilities without any remuneration.
While the City says the departing Directors terms expired Monday, in an email to Heart FM, former Chair John Krill says he and Dan McMullen were not reappointed as Directors on either Woodstock Hydro Holdings board or on the Woodstock Hydro Services board and Ron Charie did not accept an offer of reappointment as Director to Woodstock Hydro Services due to "non-alignment with the shareholder" on the sale of Woodstock Hydro and the process in which the sale unfolded.
The new Boards will continue to oversee the companies and prepare for the transition in ownership from the City to Hydro One.
Calls to Mayor Pat Sobeski were not immediately returned.
