The TVDSB says it will offer 479 elementary student spaces and 88 licenced child care spaces.
ZORRA TOWNSHIP - Thamesford will be getting a new elementary school.
The province announced yesterday that its investing $93.4 million for three new schools within the Thames Valley District School Board. This includes $43.6 million for the new Southwest London elementary school, $26.3 million the new North Central London elementary school, and $23.5 million for the new Thamesford elementary school.
The Thamesford school will be will be for students from JK to Grade 4. It will offer 479 elementary student spaces and 88 child care spaces for families in the community.
Zorra Township Council recently approved a new subdivision in Thamesford which will bring over 1,000 new homes to the village over the next few decades. Mayor Marcus Ryan told Heart FM last week that he was hoping to have a new school as part of that new residential area, which will be located on 100 acres of land south of Brock Street.
