The Oxford Winds Community Concert Band has released two new music videos thanks to a grant from the Oxford Community Foundation.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford Winds is not going to let the pandemic stop them from making music.
Coming off the heels of a very successful virtual Christmas concert, they have released two new videos of their work.
The Oxford Winds are thrilled to present their versions of Bizet’s Habanera and the cheerful military standard Colonel Bogey.
Music Director Stephanie Riehl says they were overwhelmed by the response and generosity of the community after the release of their 2020 at-home Christmas concert.
“This project is a showcase of the dedication and perseverance of our local musicians, who have not performed together in person, or seen each other in 15 months.”
She adds these videos are symbols of better times ahead. The Oxford Winds Community Concert Band was recently given a Oxford Community Foundation grant that helped make this project possible. Any organizations or long term care homes who would like a hard copy of the videos should contact the Oxford Winds at 519-608-2222.
