New Witness at Robinson Trial

The jury in the murder trial of John Robinson heard from witness Jessica Whittington, formerly Jessica Waterland today. Whittington was told about the night that Clifford Fair was murdered from Amy Gilbert, Robinson's girlfriend at the time who was charged with being an accessory to the murder. Whittington said her and Gilbert have been friends since eighth grade. After not seeing her for about a year, Whittington started to hang out with Gilbert again. It was a night out for karaoke in Woodstock when Gilbert told her about the alleged murder. Whittington says she heard Robinson talking to Gilbert saying quote "Shut up Amy, we can't talk about this. We can't talk about this, not here." Shortly after, Gilbert confessed what had happened to her friend. Whittington said she remembers asking Gilbert why. Gilbert's response was because he was jealous. The Crown has finished questioning Whittington. The Defence continues cross examination asking about Whittington's quote "heavy drinking" and the relationship she had with Gilbert.
