MINNESOTA - It was a historic conclusion to the 2026 World Junior Hockey Championship.
Sweden won the gold medal last night after celebrating a 4-2 victory over Czechia. It was the first all-European World Junior final since 2016.
Canada won bronze earlier in the day after beating Finland 6-3. Sam O'Reilly scored twice for Canada while Braeden Cootes, Zayne Parekh and Porter Martone scored the other goals. Michael Hage finished the game with two assists for Team Canada.
Canada will be hosting the next World Juniors tournament in Alberta, with games held in Edmonton and Red Deer.
