OXFORD COUNTY - Right now we have no snow in the long term forecast for Oxford County according to Environment Canada.
They are predicting seasonal temperatures for the next couple of weeks in the region and don't anticipate any snow until mid to late November. Meteorologist Geoff Coulson tells Heart FM we might get a bit of rain next week but it won't be because of Hurricane Patricia.
"A system is expected to come out of the Gulf States in the US and there may be some moisture, not necessary from Patricia but Pacific moisture coming across and feeding that system and then it starts to move northwards, so the rain on Wednesday, well not directly attributed to the remnants of Patricia it will be some moisture coming up from the deep south."
Coulson says the fall weather should continue in Oxford for the next couple of weeks and it shouldn't get too cold anytime soon.
"Were expecting to see temperatures around seasonal values or maybe a little warmer than seasonal values, really similar to what we are looking at the 7 day forecast right now, our normal high for the Woodstock area should be about 12 degrees for this time of year and we are going to reach that high or surpass it for the next little bit. As for snow were not really seeing it at this point of time, we do know the odds of seeing something in the way of snow fall will be more likely as we get further into November."
