Nobody was home this morning when a house on Railway St W in Princeton burst into flames.
Deputy Fire Chief Andrew Davidson tells Heart FM crews from Princeton and Drumbo responded to the blaze at about 9:30 on Wednesday morning.
The home was fully engulfed in flames and crews were able to stop the fire from spreading within 20 minutes of arrival. He adds the home did have working smoke alarms.
Nobody was injured and Davidson says he can't guess how much damage was caused to the home and they are currently waiting for an estimate from the insurance company.
