Nominations for the 2024 Citizen of the Year Award are now open and they're being accepted until Friday March 29th at 12:00 p.m.
TILLSONBURG - The Town of Tillsonburg is now accepting nominations for Citizen of the Year.
The award is always handed out to a local resident who has made an outstanding contribution to the community without expecting anything in return. It's geared towards volunteers who dedicate their personal time to help make the town a better place.
Nominations are being accepted until Friday March 29th at 12:00 p.m. and the form can be found on the Town of Tillsonburg website.
Tillsonburg's Cultural, Heritage, and Special Awards Advisory Committee will take a look at all of the nominations and select the winner. It will be based on the nominee's length and impact of service, the uniqueness of their efforts, how they support and involve other people, and the challenges and barriers they've had to overcome in order to contribute to the community.
