Norfolk County council is expected to pass a mandatory face covering by-law on Friday as they get set to enter stage 3.
NORFOLK COUNTY - Norfolk County council is having a special meeting on Friday, where they will discuss a mandatory face covering by-law.
Waterford Councillor Kim Huffman served a notice to council that she intended to table the motion for council to vote on. Things apparently got pretty heated during a marathon council session in Norfolk on Tuesday night, especially between Councillor Huffman and Councillor Chris Van Passen.
Norfolk County council will listen to several deputations on Friday before making a final decision. Norfolk County officially moves into Stage 3 on Friday, which is why Huffman wanted to pass a by-law now.
If Norfolk County does make face coverings mandatory it would mean that all of the neighbouring municipalities to Oxford County would have a mandatory face covering by-law.
