A house in Norwich has been completely decimated by fire. Crews were called to the home on Brock St. East last night, just before midnight. Fire was started in the rear of the home and quickly spread. At the height of the blaze, 35 firefighters from Norwich, Burgessville and Otterville tended to the scene. One woman at the home was taken to Woodstock Hospital for treatment of a minor injury. The house had to be completely destroyed to extinguish the blaze. But the good news is, the home was insured. The local branch of the Canadian Red Cross has found a place for the family to stay in the interim. The fire has been ruled accidental.
