OCFA to Host All Candidates Meeting

All of the municipal election candidates have been invited to participate on Monday, September 28th.

OXFORD COUNTY - The Oxford County Federation of Agriculture (OCFA) will be hosting an all candidates meeting.

It will be taking place at the Embro Community Centre on Monday September 28th at 7:00 p.m.. Invitations have been sent to the candidates running in each Oxford County municipality, so President Davina Garner explains how the event will work.

"We are going to do a short presentation at the beginning touching on local agriculture and after those presentations then we have the time to connect and ask questions to their local candidates."

The presentations will be from local agriculture representatives along with Ontario Federation of Agriculture policy specialists. Each candidate will have their own area, so residents can approach them with their questions afterward.

A total of 97 candidates had been invited as of last night, Garner says 14 of them have confirmed their attendance.

This is the OCFA's Policy and Pie event, so there will be free pie for everyone to enjoy. If you want to attend, you can just show up to the event, and there is no pre-registration required.
