The Middlesex OPP had to close off the westbound lanes of Highway 401 between Culloden Road and Elgin Road for several hours yesterday, after a vehicle rolled in the north ditch close to Putnam Road.
THAMES CENTRE - One person has died and two others were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a crash in the westbound lanes of Highway 401 in Thames Centre.
The Middlesex OPP say one vehicle left the road and rolled into the north ditch close to Putnam Road at around 1:40 p.m. yesterday.
The name of the person who died has not been released as officers notify their friends and family.
Emergency crews had to close off the highway between Culloden Road and Elgin Road for several hours for the investigation, but the area has since reopened.
