"Rubber boots and rural roots." That's the theme of this year's 177th Woodstock Fair. The fair will be open in 1-months time, running August 22nd to the 25th at the Woodstock Fairgrounds. Fair Ambassador Andrea Chesney tells Heart FM what this year's theme means. "In Woodstock, we're surrounded by farms, and we're very disconnected with those farms. So it's going to bring back our rural roots and just let them shine. The Woodstock Fair is a great way to see what goes on in our rural community surrounding us. There's a 4-H show, which is called 'The Black and White Show', which is great. There's also a Jersey show, which is not as well attended, which is really cool to see the different types of cows. Most people just know about the Holsteins." Back by popular demand will be the Dodge RAM Rodeo, and demolition derby. The fair will also feature craft vendors, livestock displays, and of course rides for the kids. Click here for more info.
